A Man's Bed

 Wind has artistic talent and vision and this time he showed in a bed he designed.

This bed took him two years to complete!!

Did I mention he also has patients and determination?

He recruited a couple of buddies to help him cut down the tree and haul it off the mountain.

They ran chains up and around the log and pulled it down with their trucks.

Wind had a friend that allowed him the use of his shop for making the bed.

 The large corner beams were hewed from the tree that he brought down from the mountain.

He ordered his steal and rusted it with a salt water solution.

 He welded the corners of the steal plates that wrap around the top and along 

the sides of head and foot boards.

He has plates sandwiched between two 8x2 boards that bolts run through.
There are a total of ten 8x2's in both the foot and head boards.
Wind distressed the wood with cuts and gouges.

 Wind attached the corner beams to determine their height before cutting.

The bed was finally stained after it was completed.

Wind designed this bed to come apart in three pieces for the foot and head boards.

Seth helped him carry this into his basement apartment.

This bed is SOLID, BEEFY and BEAUTIFUL!

 I am so impressed!

Wind would love to have a shop and make more furniture.

His room is too small to get a photo on the whole bed in one snap shot.

This bed fits right into the rugged, raw, natural materials style of the area of
Driggs, Id.
