It started with Seth noticing some posting about the Tough Mudder Event on Facebook...
Next he puts out an invite to anyone to join a team.
Their Uncles Roland and Rich join and Jessica's brother, Kody.
And the training begins!
To get into the START area everyone had to climb a wall then the hype starts
HOORAH! HOORAH! HOORAH!
"I SAY TOUGH, YOU SAY MUDDER"
TOUGH.....MUDDER!
Participates were assigned a heat that took off every 20 minutes.
10:20 am!!
Seth and Wind were out front after the Kiss of Mud obstacle.
We didn't have a map, didn't understand how the course was laid out and didn't
realize how fast Seth and Wind would be so,
we never caught up with them after the Arctic Enema!
The Arctic Enema chilled them all right to the bone right from the start.
There was a chilly breeze that morning.
We thought we might catch them at the Balls to the Wall obstacle....nope
they were long gone.

Kody took on a powerful punch of Electroshock Therapy
The most entertaining obstacle was the Electroshock Therapy,
we were there for a couple of hours watching people face plant the mud
after a powerful shock of electricity. HILARIOUS!!!

12 miles, 21 obstacles and 2 hours later we found Seth and Wind at the finish line.
They were frozen and slightly muddy.
They were handed bannas, water, energy bars, powder energy packs and a
Tough Mudder shirt
This is how you use $130 shoes!
People could donate their shoes that would be cleaned and sent to Africa.
Driving through the parking lot after the event, we could see pairs of muddy shoes left behind.
Finishers sported their bright orange Tough Mudder head bands.

they are animals.
Misty had pizza delivered for everyone and we
all enjoyed soaking in the jacuzzi while hearing about their experience.
Overall, everyone had a great time....GREAT EXPERIENCE.
We're all looking forward to it next year.

You have an absolutly amazing family. I could never do that! And I don't see any of my kids running through MUD! Loved the pictures and the story !
