Celebrating Independence Day

The Headley family came out to Malad for the 4th.
They arrived to the parade as the leading patrol car stopped in front of Troy and I
for the national anthem.
Considering they only live 45 min away in Logan, but it took them 3 tries to leave
and 2 hrs driving....it was a miracle they arrived in time for the parade.
We had a wonderful BBQ dinner out on the porch.
The day was PERFECT!
We have been having near 100' weather, but this morning we had a down pour
that helped cool things down for the parade. While eating, the weather was so
calm and pleasant...however in the distance we could see down pours and dark clouds
slowly moving towards us.
Troy then says, "usually a breeze starts up and then tornado"
Sure enough just as he says that the wind kicked up and we were hustling to get
everything off the table into the house.
Kaleb and Jared insisted on finishing their dinner despite the strong winds.
Richard and Robin from Paradise, CA were driving through on their way
to Cliffton, ID.  They stopped to drop a box off for Blue so he wouldn't
have to ship it home. They came in and visited for awhile. Very nice people
who have really enjoyed getting to know Blue.
I love the simple directions on the box for them!
They found us.
The day was very relaxing and fun being with family.
We hung around the "pool" and then watched the fireworks down by the
high school.
Pam had told Kirk that Malad has the best fireworks, "REALLY???!"
Later when going to bed, Kirk, "Ok, Malad does have the best fireworks"
Thanks for coming Headley family.
