Robert and I came back early from visiting family on christmas break so, we were in Saint George for New Years Eve. All of the friends we have made throughout the school year were all gone visiting family over the break so, we had no idea what we were going to do to celebrate new years. Well New Years Eve came and Robert, his mom Valerie and I were sitting around wondering what to do. Robert decided to cook a pork roast with BBQ sauce and pull it apart for some tasty sandwiches. We had ourselves a pork roast dinner with some sparkling cider. His mom told us that there was the "First Night" going on in town. Robert and I got all bundled up and headed to town. They had lots of bands playing, giant chess games, the xbox game Rock Band, random firepits to stay warm, food stands, different booths with different crafts and fireworks. I told Robert I wanted to make a mask so that was the first thing we did. Luckily we did it first because it was scheduled for earlier in the day and we were lucky enough to be the last ones able to make a mask. They were cleaning it all up while we were trying to hurry and make ours. I wore my mask the whole night but Robert could only see out of one eye hole because his was too small so he had to take it off :(
After we got our masks made we walked around and watched the different things going on. It was so cold tho that our legs were going numb. So we bought ourselves a hot chocolate, fried Twinkie, and a GIANT cinnamon sugar scone to share. We were still freezing so, we went to my house and watched some celebration on TV and then about 30 minutes til midnight we drove back into town and watched the fireworks go off of Dixie Rock.
Happy New Years Everyone!!!!

The masks look great, but that was funny that Robert could only look out of one. You got your fried food in for that day! That thing WAS HUGE. Happy New Year to you Sweetie.
Happy New Year Sundi and Robert! Oh to be young and stay up past midnight.
