The plan was to hop in our car and leave as soon as she arrived at our home. Seth, Jessica and Wind live 3 hrs north of us. We wanted time to visit them that evening, they both would leave early the next morning for work. We didn't see Jessica, she was down in St. George. While Troy and I were finishing getting ready she took many pictures of our place.
This is a view of the Snake River as we travel through Swan Valley. We then take Jct. 31 that takes us through the Targee Nation Forest. This is a beautiful drive any time of the year.We had stopped in Idaho Falls to get a few things for dinner. I figured the boys would rather a home cooked meal than go out. There isn't much to choose from to eat at there in Driggs. After dinner at Seth's they took us around showing some decorative cement jobs for porches and drive ways that they would like to get into to doing. The homes they took us to see were more like lodges, beautiful homes. We, of course, took her to each of their own homes. Mom was very impressed with both of their homes. We met Wind's landlord, Sheila. I am grateful for her and all that she does for Wind. If he comes home hurt she is down there bring him homemade soup and bread. She really enjoys Wind, he reminds her of her son that she lost to an accident a couple of summers ago. He was the same age and enjoyed at lot of the same things as Wind. Grandma saw his bike and said, "WOW" and had to get on.

"Wind, Grandma and Seth outside Seth's porch"We were starting to run out of daylight. It was disappointing because there was so much they wanted to show us.
He had the bed taken off and had a roll cage welded on. He wants to have more seats added behind the front ones. He will eventually have sheet metal wrapped around the frame. Grandma said this brought back lots of memories of when she would go to the sand dunes with her brother and his family. They would camp and drive dune buggies. We spent the night at Seth's place and left the next morning. Grandma really enjoyed seeing them, she wished that we had more time with them.
"Idaho Falls Temple"On the way home we stopped at the Park Avenue Antique Mall in Idaho Falls. Mom bought "books" (she can't get enough books!) and a newspaper dated on her birthday, Dec. 14, 1942. I found a tiny pewter elf and rabbit. Troy found a old pair of roller skates that came with a key. Mom offered to treat us to lunch at The Great Harvest. They make a wide variety of breads each morning from wheat that has been freshly ground that morning. Each customer is offered a thick hot slice of bread of their choice to sample. I tried the Whole Wheat Jalapeno Chedder, delicious! The place has a very earthy atmosphere. While eating our sandwiches Troy looks at the young girls mixing and kneading bread and says, "Aren't girls beautiful in the kitchen in all their wholesomeness". He was admiring them in their natural beauty. He then told mom, "That is why I married Kathy". Troy then took us to the temple visiting center. The older missionary couple there said they were from Blackfoot, Idaho and when we told them that Troy's grandparents, Ben and Nina Hull were from there his response was, "You have got to be kidding!" He knew the family very well. We spent time visiting with him about the family.
The temple got it's name from the beautiful falls on the Snake River that runs by the temple. There are more falls off the right of this picture.
After getting back to our place mom was ready to head back to her home in Payson. She left our home at about 2 pm and at about 5 pm Troy's mother, Julie and Robert arrived. We went to the football game with them and they spent the night. It was a great weekend.
