Fifi

Our poor, sweet Fifi.

Fifi had been missing for several days, not really sure how long but started to notice that we hadn't seen her for quiet awhile. On Easter, while outside loading the chicken coop for Jessica Troy found her.
He comes to me, "I found Fifi...it's bad".
"Is she dead?"
"No, worse"
I didn't want to see her at first. Blue and Wind took her into the house.

What is amazing is how to is handling it. She wants to survive. She doesn't act like a cat seriously injured.
The muscle, tendons and bones are all exposed.
The vet, on Monday morning, felt that we should try and see if it will heal with Iodine washings, antibiotics and Granulex V (not sure what that is, maybe a topical antibiotic).
He "says" that animal's wounds have an amazing way of healing.
So with vigil care, love and many prayers in her behalf we hope the vet is right.
She is doing well in the fact that she is eating, drinking, getting out of the bed, Wind and Blue made her, to go to the kitty litter and seems to be in fair spirits.

We thought that she got into a trap and was let go, but the vet thinks she got caught in a fan belt. That seems to make sense because she has small wounds up higher on her other leg.

So do you just leave the fur open and it closes as it heals? Poor FIFi.

Both Fifi and Ben have had some pretty terrifying experiences. I will pray for Fifi and Ben.

So Kathy...we need an update on little FIFi. How is her leg healing? Has the fur pulled over yet and closed? We want more pictures. I can handle the gruesome details. So go for it.
