A Great Weekend

My mother and brother came up for the weekend.
We went to the Community Exchange where we each found new treasures,
and the Fall Festival where we watched riding lawn mower races
and rode a horse drawn wagon.
The best part was having everyone there to help me harvest my corn.
We froze 15 quart bags and we have been enjoying corn-on-the-cob every night.

Mom even treated us to a spaghetti dinner, chocolate pudding over ice cream
(our family favorite) and movies.
The high light was when Rich treated me to a ride in the helicopter
down at the Fall Fest.
We had all said good-bye to him as he was leaving back to Payson.
A moment later he calls me,
"They are still flying the helicopter, do you want to go up?"
"YES!"
"Well then get down here and we'll go up"
It was crazy, fun.
Rich was so excited to get up in the air. He has put in 60 hours of training of his own,
but was not able to complete his training.
He would love to have his pilot license.
Rich asked the pilot if he would do an "auto", an emergency maneuver
where the pilot turns down the throttle and we dropped.
The pilot also "banked" the helicopter and I was facing the ground from
the side.
Our place looked pretty good from the air.
Who gets to see their home from the sky?
 Thank you Rich
That was awesome! And the best part was doing it with you.
